What we keep, and for how long
Draft for early access. This page hasn't yet been reviewed by a solicitor. It describes what Vocial actually does today.
How long things are kept, and what happens when you delete them. This describes what the software actually does today.
| What | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Your account, business details, uploads, videos and posts | While your account exists |
| Your clone (face photos, voice recordings, voice model, talking video) | Until you withdraw consent or delete your account. Withdrawing deletes them straight away, with every video made from them. |
| Sign-in attempt records | 15 minutes |
| Server logs | About two weeks |
| Database backup | One copy, replaced every night |
| Payment records | Held by Stripe, as payment law requires |
Deleting your account
You → Delete my account. It cancels any paid plan, then deletes your account, business, uploads, clone, videos and posts, the files themselves and not just the references. It can't be undone. The nightly backup is replaced within a day, and after that nothing of your account remains with us, apart from the payment records Stripe must keep.
If you stop paying
Nothing is deleted. Your account moves to Free and everything stays where it is.
